Here is another article that emerged in response to the final results of the #Vanderbilt study which came out in early 2022. From the article: "By 6th grade, children in the #Tennessee state funded Pre-K program did worse than their peers (who didn't attend) in measures of academic achievement and behavior. A while back - while falling down another rabbit hole in my effort to learn what "panopticon" meant (I heard it at a #playwork conference and didn't know what it meant) -  I stumbled across quite a bit as to how theme parks, specifically the Disney ones, fall into the same category. #playground #play #panopticon 

After I read this one I wrote on the top of the page, first do no harm. We KNOW that #play is what needs to be happening.  Why do we (not present company "we" but I think you know what I mean!) insist on trying to get different results????  We (the same "we") must stop dismissing data because we don't like the results!  #DAP #teaching #learning #Vanderbilt #Tennessee
